AgGateway awards Homologa director, Patricia PĂ©rez

Last month AgGateway "honored exemplary individuals who have made outstanding contributions in advancing the industry’s transition to digital agriculture"

At the same time AgGateway presented its annual AgGateway in Action Awards which have recognized "individuals who have moved connectivity efforts forward in the current year".

Patricia Pérez, Homologa Database Director at Lexagri got awarded within the Europe region.

EU adds 7 actives in the list of candidates for substitution

On September, 17 the commission regulation 2020/1295 was published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

This regulation adds seven active ingredients in the list of candidates for substitution- carbetamide, emamectin, flurochloridone, gamma-cyhalothrin, halosulfuron‐methyl, ipconazole and tembotrione.

Today, October 7, this regulation has entered into force.

The standard "EU candidates for substitution" has already been updated and uploaded into Homologa™ database.

 

New EU MRLs for Chlorpyrifos and Chlorpyrifos-methyl

The approvals of the active substances Chlorpyrifos and Chlorpyrifos-methyl were not renewed by the European Commission.

All existing authorisations for plant protection products containing Chlorpyrifos and Chlorpyrifos-methyl have been revoked.

Thus the european authorities reduced the MRLs of chlorpyrifos and chlorpyrifos-methyl at the LOD for all food commodities.

The new MRLs will apply from 13 November 2020. The corresponding Regulation and its corrigendum can be found here below:

Cow milk added to EU legislation as a basic substance

On July,10 the European Commission published the regulation (EU) 2020/1004 that approves the cow milk as a basic substance.

According to  RCE 1107/2009 basic substances are determined as  « Certain substances which are not predominantly used as plant protection products may be of value for plant protection, but the economic interest of applying for approval may be limited. Therefore, specific provisions should ensure that such substances, as far as their risks are acceptable, may also be approved for plant protection use »

On August 2018 EFSA had released the outcome of the public consultation on the basic substance application for milk for use in plant protection as fungicide.

As consequence, cow milk has already been added to Homologa™ database dictionaries.

 

New EU MRLs enter into force

EU Regulation 2020/856 will come into force tomorrow the 9th of July 2020.

Maximum residue levels (MRLs) for for cyantraniliprole, cyazofamid, cyprodinil, fenpyroximate, fludioxonil, fluxapyroxad, imazalil, isofetamid, kresoxim-methyl, lufenuron, mandipropamid, propamocarb, pyraclostrobin, pyriofenone, pyriproxyfen and spinetoram will be modified.

The new and changed MRLs values according to this regulation are already loaded in our Homologa™ database.

New EU MRLs enter into force

EU Regulation 2019/1792 has come into force today 18 May 2020.

In view of the non-renewal of approval of the active substances amitrole, flupyrsulfuron-methyl, isoproturon and triasulfuron, the expiry of the approval of the active substances fipronil and imazosulfuron, and the non-approval of the active substance orthosulfamuron, the MRLs for these substances have been set at the relevant limit of determination (LOD):

However, regulation (EC) No 396/2005 as it stood before being amended by this Regulation shall continue to apply to products which were produced in the Union or imported into the Union before 18 May 2020.

The new MRLs values according to this amendment are already loaded in our Homologa™ database.

New EU MRLs enter into force

EU Regulation 2019/1582 has come into force today 16th of April 2020. Maximum residue levels (MRLs) have been modified for the active substance imazalil.

 

Various products are impacted and, among others, MRLs have been lowered for citrus fruits, potatoes, tomatoes, barley grains, oat grains, rye grains and wheat grains.

 

The new MRLs values according to this amendment are already loaded in our Homologa™ database.

New EU MRLs enter into force

EU Regulation 2019/1559  will come into force tomorrow the 7th of March 2020. Maximum residue levels (MRLs) for cyflufenamid, fenbuconazole, fluquinconazole will be modified.

Fenbuconazole will have its MRLs lowered for grapefruit, oranges, almonds, Brazil nuts, cashew nuts, chestnuts, coconuts, hazelnuts/cobnuts, macadamias, pecans, pine nut kernels, pistachios, walnuts and blueberries.

The new and changed MRLs values according to this regulation are already loaded in our Homologa™ database.
